As part of the 11th edition of the “Education Interface” exhibition, one of the most prominent educational exhibitions in the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, delivered a distinguished opening speech. The exhibition, held under the slogan “Education and Society,” aims to enhance cooperation between various educational institutions and both the public and private sectors. Brothers and Sisters,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I greet you all and am pleased to be with you today at this conference organized by the ‘Education Interface’ Foundation, which is generously sponsored by His Highness, the honorable, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. As we know, His Highness is always keen on supporting all initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of this beloved nation in meeting the demands of the present and facing future challenges. I extend my greetings and appreciation to His Highness, praying to Allah Almighty for his continued success and prosperity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our discussion at this conference about education is, in essence, a discussion about the future of the nation and enhancing society\u2019s ability to confront economic challenges, societal transformation, environmental changes, and the future of energy. It also encompasses the challenges of preserving national identity and addressing human, social, and economic development issues. This requires the development of a well-rounded personality, the capacity for innovation, and a continuous desire for learning among the nation’s youth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our deep commitment to education and its role in shaping the present and confronting future challenges is a natural extension of the tremendous achievements realized in the education sector of our nation\u2014achievements that began and continue thanks to the historic leadership of the great founder of the state, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace.
We thank Allah greatly that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State\u2014may Allah preserve him\u2014supports the founding leader\u2019s vision and strongly affirms the importance of continuous development in education, as it is the true vessel through which the character and identity of society are formed, its aspirations and ambitions are shaped, and even its core principles and way of life are defined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I extend my highest expressions of gratitude, appreciation, and respect to His Highness the President of the State\u2014may Allah protect and preserve him. I also renew to His Highness our pledge and promise to always live up to his hopes and aspirations for us, dedicating all our efforts and energy to ensure that every son and daughter of the UAE is capable of taking initiative and engaging in meaningful work that brings benefit to themselves and to their nation\u2014within a framework of pride in national identity and a deep commitment to noble values and high moral principles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We extend to His Highness our sincere pledge and commitment that all institutions of society will work together to ensure that education in the UAE becomes a broad and dynamic platform for conveying the important message that the people of the Emirates wish the new generation to uphold. This message reflects the expectation that sons and daughters of the nation will prepare themselves to bear the responsibility of serving the country and fully contributing to its progress.
It also embodies society\u2019s hope that the new generations will fulfill their role in preserving our Arab and Islamic heritage, adhering to the values and principles upon which the state\u2019s journey is built. Furthermore, it reflects the expectation that the youth of the nation will follow in the footsteps of their forefathers\u2014in giving, achieving, spreading prosperity and development, and upholding the principles of tolerance and peace, both within the country and across the region and the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear brothers and sisters,
This conference, along with the accompanying educational exhibition, affirms that the kind of education we aspire to in this beloved nation requires collaborative efforts from all sectors of society. Everyone must come together in unity to provide effective education that embraces the latest technologies and modern practices. It should focus on developing knowledge, fostering sound thinking, and cultivating the ability for leadership and innovation\u2014while also emphasizing moral values and upright behavior. All of this must take place within a supportive framework that offers academic, psychological, and career guidance to students, helps them identify their educational goals, and provides opportunities for personalized and independent learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope this conference serves as a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the role of all sectors of society in contributing to the development of the education system in our country, and that a clear vision is established regarding the responsibilities expected from every participant and stakeholder in the educational process\u2014ultimately leading, God willing, to well-defined standards that are practically implemented. We must not forget that educational issues have become increasingly interconnected across the world, and thus, we must remain open to successful global experiences and continuously strive to ensure that all educational institutions in our country meet world-class standards in every respect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear brothers and sisters,
In my capacity as Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, I would like to conclude my remarks with a brief note on the role of education in reinforcing the principles of tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity. There is a reciprocal relationship between the success of establishing an effective education system and the commitment to noble human values and principles. One cannot exist without the other\u2014successful education is that which reflects the values of society and takes pride in its identity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, I hope that the connection between education and the cultivation of human values is clear to you as you discuss the current state of education in the country. Today, I call upon all of you to work together so that the education system in the UAE becomes an effective platform for promoting the model of tolerance, coexistence, and human fraternity that characterizes our beloved nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Allah, the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence now has joint initiatives with schools, colleges, and universities. We hope these initiatives will continue to grow and expand as an expression of our love for this nation and a reaffirmation of our commitment to achieving all its goals and aspirations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say to you today that such community partnerships in the field of education are important means of fostering a spirit of achievement and collaborative work among all stakeholders. These partnerships are effective tools for maximizing the available resources to bring benefit to both society and humanity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wish you all, dear brothers and sisters, a successful conference, and I pray to Allah Almighty to grant us all success in every beneficial and meaningful endeavor.
