Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamsi is the Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, a leading company in the management and operation of commercial and community ports in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as the Fujairah Ports, KIZAD, and ZonesCorp. He joined the group in 2008 and assumed his current position in 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in the global trade and logistics sector, where he has contributed to the sustainable growth of the group and solidified its position as a leading global driver of trade, industry, and logistics.
Captain Al Shamsi holds a postgraduate diploma in applied sciences (Chief Officer) from the Australian Maritime College, an MBA, and a postgraduate certificate in management from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He has received numerous awards, including the “Young Personality of the Year” at the Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards in 2012, the Peter Morris Award from the Australian Maritime College, and the Parade Publication Paris Award for Best Performance in Nautical Studies.
